Measured Move Calculator
What is a Measured Move?
A Measured Move is a price-action technique that projects the next leg from a completed one. The most common form is “leg one equals leg two”: take the height of the first move and project it an equal distance from the end of the pullback to get a potential target.
Which methods does this tool support?
MyTrading supports three Measured Move methods: Leg1=Leg2 (equal-leg), range projection (breakout type) and spike projection (pullback type), matching wedge, double top/bottom and spike-and-channel patterns respectively.
FAQ
Can I draw Measured Moves directly on the chart?
Yes. In the MyTrading workspace, Measured Move is part of the Al Brooks price-action indicator and projects targets directly on the chart.
